VE Holden Commodore Spare Parts

This all-new Holden 2006-13 VE Commodore represents the fourth generation of the best-seller cars in Australia. It was the brainchild of the cleanest sheet project and the country’s first ever $1 billion car program.

VE Commodore: a global innovation

The VE is the first demonstration of innovative global wheel drive architecture for General Motors. The car was developed with potential for worldwide markets. It features a strong and stiff body structure with striking exterior and interior design. Outside, the VE is a dramatic car with a purposeful stance and pronounced wheel arches. Inside, the interiors can accommodate enough passengers while still allowing leg movement and comfortable sit.

Safety was a major factor in the development of the VE. All available models of the VE were engineered with six airbags, with curtain airbags being introduced for the first time. Indeed, the VE is an epitome of the Electronic Stability Program (ESP). The body is made of high-strength steel, multiple load paths, and optimised deformation zones.

VE sedans are exported to markets in the United States, New Zealand, Middle East, Brazil, and the United Kingdom under the GM brands of Chevrolet, Pontiac, Holden, and Vauxhall.

The individual models are very distinct from each other, both inside and out.

Improved take-off feel, responsiveness, and torque delivery are just some of the refinements made to Alloytec V6 and Gen IV V8. The 6.0 litre V8 engine is now the most powerful standard Holden engine ever offered with 270kW peak power output. There is a novel electrical interface and microprocessor capacity that provide for improved safety and infotainment capability. Outstanding ride and comfort are not sacrificed with the Linear Control Suspension system. In fact, the ride has become more luxurious with up-to-the-minute heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

What used to be Executive and Acclaim were replaced by an Omega nameplate. For top-range choices, there is a new V Series concept—the SS V and Calais V. In the standard range, two headlight styles are available, three front facias, four rear light models, three rear facias, and two rear spoilers. Wheel sizes range from 16” (Omega) to 19” (SS V).
